As all companies strive for success, finding the right recipe is important. Riso’s ingredient list includes products across diverse therapeutic categories, offering our fare to select markets: the Middle East, Canada, and Latin America. This unique flavor to our Business Plan may seem unorthodox in its territorial “fusion”, and is the result of a strategy to serve markets which may be deemed as non-crucial and therefore available by our licensor companies. A multinational pharmaceutical company may look at our stew as not too appetizing, but for Riso all our product initiatives are expected to achieve annual sales of several million dollars in each territory.
Riso’s accomplishments in our second year of operation can be measured in terms of its achievements on the licensing front and in the initiation and growth of its sales.
Thanks to the efforts and groundwork laid in 2006, Riso was able to finalize several licensing deals in 2007. Among the companies Riso has signed exclusive marketing deals with are: Helsinn Healthcare SA, of Switzerland, Unigene Laboratories Inc. of the US, Biolyse Pharma Corporation, Canada, and Pliva-Lachema a.s., Chech Republic.
In addition, Riso established itself as a provider of hard-to-access medicines in some of our Middle Eastern territories, helping alleviate some of the health sector “hunger” for these products.
